Our Eye Exam Is One Of The Most Thorough And Modern Available!

We believe that few things are as important as how well you see.  That's why our annual eye exam is one of the most thorough and modern .  During your annual exam, the doctor will perform as many as 20 different procedures to evaluate the overall health of your eyes  and to determine your exact prescription.

While our eye exams are tailored to your individual needs. 
They all include four basic components.

	Ocular Health - The health of your eyes is our primary concern. We check from the cornea and lens in the front of your eye to the retina and optic nerve in the back of your eye.  Now, we are able to check the optic nerves to the back of your brain. With our automated eye examination,  we are able to evaluate your eyes for cataracts, glaucoma and retinal problems.  We are able to treat and manage all eye diseases.  If surgical or specialized medical care is necessary, we will refer you to specialists.
	Systemic Health - We are looking for signs of general body disease, when we are checking your eye health. Diseases such as diabetes, arteriosclerosis, sickle cell anemia, brain tumors and multiple sclerosis may be diagnosed with a thorough eye examination. If any of these conditions are detected, we would refer you to the appropriate specialist for further examination.
	Vision - Our thorough eye examination has been developed to give you the most accurate and comfortable glasses and contact lens prescription. The auto refractor computer and vision phoropters, along with your medical history, symptoms and the experience of our staff are just some of the many elements that assist our doctor in establishing your accurate prescription.
	Visual Performance - We test visual skills ability and give advice on how to achieve your best visual performance.  Visual performance skills can affect working with computers, reading comfort & comprehension, all sports activities, driving and more.  Discussion of your best visual performance may include glasses, contacts or laser vision correction.  If you are a candidate for laser vision correction, we will advise you on which procedure would be the best for your prescription.  Dr Hampton has performed laser correction on hundreds of patients and the results have been great.
